Inline field multiplexer - Inexpensive transmission of distant signals
Digital and analog input and output signals often have to be routed over great distances to central control systems and displays, and vice versa. Solutions with four-wire copper cables are often complex and expensive – both the cable itself and the installation.
The Inline field multiplexer reduces these costs drastically. It transmits the signals along one single 2-wire cable. Up to 512 input/output data can be transmitted from point to point over a distance of up to 12 km (depending on the type of cable used and the EMC conditions of the environment). It is also possible to transmit via fiber optics. Useable cables are often already installed on site.
A large selection of single-channel and multi-channel Inline input/output modules can be easily aligned at the field multiplexers. It is flexible and requires little wiring, making it ideal for use wherever greater distances have to be bridged inexpensively. Configuration software is not necessary.
