in the All Electric Society Park. As the parkʼs centerpiece, the All Electric Society Pavilion shows what Phoenix Contact understands the All Electric Society to be and how sector coupling helps optimize the flow of renewable energy.
Experience, discover, and explore the future:
How reliable are renewable energy sources? Where do we get energy from when the sun is not shining and the wind is not blowing? Why are there different ways to charge an electric car? And how does the green electricity actually get into the car, a building, or production?
Our All Electric Society answers these and other exciting questions: Experience live with us in Blomberg how energy is generated, stored, and distributed and how energy consumption is optimized – and how all these areas relate to each other.
What is the All Electric Society?
The All Electric Society describes a scientifically based vision of the future of a carbon-neutral and sustainably developing world. The first approaches to this were already formulated back in the 1970s.
In the All Electric Society, only renewably generated electrical energy is used. Fossil fuels are not relied on anymore. However, sustainable actions do not automatically mean doing without. It is much more a matter of ensuring that existing resources are used optimally and are available equally to everyone in the world.
This is made possible by what is known as sector coupling: the linking of all relevant areas of life and work – mobility, energy, infrastructure, and industry – to form an overall system. In this system, the green energy is distributed automatically in accordance with demand. This ensures that the energy is always available where it is needed.
The interactive park experience
In our All Electric Society Park, we will introduce you to interactive stations that showcase the many ways renewable energy can be generated, converted, stored, distributed, and used. To do this, we use both self-generated green electricity and heat energy from heat pumps and conversion processes.
This is how we generate renewable electricity from the sun and wind. By using state-of-the-art battery and hydrogen synthesis systems, we can store the precious energy and thus have it available for a later time. We demonstrate the efficient use of this energy with specific and hands-on applications, using the examples of e-mobility, smart buildings, transport infrastructure, and production facilities. You will also learn how we can work together to use the precious resource of water sustainably.
You will find all these exciting subjects in large, transparent cubes spread throughout the site. Our interactive, self-explanatory glass cubes are designed to invite you to participate and discover.
Let yourself be drawn into the exciting world of energy and learn about the technical possibilities that already exist today to solve the major tasks of tomorrow and shape our world so that it will be more livable and sustainable for all of us in the future.
In the All Electric Society Pavilion, you can learn more about this vision of the future and how our All Electric Society Park is a small-scale representation of this grand idea. We are convinced that, in addition to the commitment of all of us, the key to a sustainable world lies in technical solutions for industry and society.
A great idea for the future, in a compact size
It ensures that a wind turbine generator is operated at a lofty height: the wind turbine nacelle. Usually this sensitive area is accessible only for specialists, but in our park you not only have the chance to get a close look at the machine room. You can also to enter it.
Interactive glass cubes around the site make experiencing the All Electric Society topics an enjoyable adventure. All cubes are intelligently networked with each other. This means that it is always shows how much energy is available and where it is needed.
Around 500 solar panels throughout the All Electric Society Park provide it with a complete supply of renewable energy. In addition to roof panels and solar panels integrated into windows, there are 26 m² of walkable solar paving integrated into the sidewalks.
