Smart Ethernet Box with improved outdoor housing and lock adapter
The Smart Ethernet Box from Phoenix Contact is a powerful outdoor PoE switch for demanding environments. New features include optimized housing functions and a lock adapter, which simplify installation, servicing, and access protection.
The removable splice tray on the SCX…LX fiber-optic versions and the removable flange plate with cable glands make it easier to connect the cables. In the event of servicing, spliced fiber-optic cables remain untouched, and the device can be replaced without resplicing. With a removable splice tray and flange plate, the solution easily meets the requirements for device replacement specified in “Risk assessments for emergencies”, which often call for completion within 24 hours or even within 60 minutes in critical applications.
Preassembled cable glands and an adapter for panel or mast mounting via a latching mechanism ensure quick installation. If required, a cable gland can be extended to M32 to allow larger supply lines to be inserted safely. The practical lock adapter set enables the use of a 30/10 mm Euro profile half cylinder, which the operator can take from their locking system. The combination of a replaceable housing, the lock adapter, and a protection concept tested in accordance with IK10 and IP65/NEMA 4X results in a flexibly integrable solution for industrial networks and applications with increased security requirements.
