Background:
With NIS 2, the EU has introduced strict rules for cyber security for its member states. Although Norway is not a member state, we are directly affected by requirements introduced in the EU.
NIS 2 is the successor to the NIS directive, which entered into force in 2016. The implementation of a holistic security strategy is therefore no longer just necessary to protect against cyberattacks, but is also required by law. The requirement also applies to those who work as subcontractors within the relevant market segment.
The member states of the EU must implement the provisions necessary to comply with the NIS 2 directive by 17 October 2024 at the latest, and apply these provisions from 18 October 2024.
At Phoenix Contact, we have been actively working with Industrial Cybersecurity and OT networks for many years and have now brought together our internal CyberSecurity experts as well as two experts from our partner AFRY to go through the requirements set by the NIS2 directive in an educational and easy-to-understand way. In addition, we will try to find out why NIS 2 is good for us all!
This webinar is aimed at those who work with OT networks and automation solutions as well as those who sit in the management group.
