2026-03-19
Phoenix Contact and Symcon will be showcasing their new technology partnership at Light + Building 2026.

To further advance open, interoperable building automation, Phoenix Contact and Symcon have entered into a technology partnership. The goal of this collaboration is to provide planners, system integrators, and electrically skilled persons with an efficient path from hardware through software to ongoing operation.

The focus is on the seamless integration of hardware and software components as well as simplified engineering processes. Through the joint development of interfaces and integration paths, users will be able to access fully functional automation solutions more quickly in the future – regardless of manufacturer boundaries. The partnership leverages Symcon’s expertise in building software and combines it with Phoenix Contact’s expertise in automation and connectivity. Both companies aim to promote open standards, reduce media discontinuities, and significantly lower integration costs. This partnership is another building block in the strategy to ensure that building automation is consistently application-oriented, scalable, and interoperable.
