Type 3 surge protection completes the protection concept. As device protection, it limits the last remaining pulses which could cause damage to the building installation or system. Type 3 SPDs are installed directly upstream of the end device. This way, they even protect sensitive end devices, such as servers, controllers, or power supply units.

The BLOCKTRAB product family protects your end devices, concealed in cable ducts or underfloor systems, against surge voltages. A DIN-rail-mountable product is not always the right solution. The BLT-T3 is installed in device sockets, cable ducts, and underfloor systems. The BLT-SKT is installed on the rear of standard sockets. The adapters for mains sockets are ideal for retrofitting surge protection upstream of electronic end devices. A green LED indicates the surge protection function of the protective device.
