A look back at electronica virtual 2020

Phoenix Contact is pleased to announce that the 2020 digital trade fair was a success. In total, over 8,200 participants from 79 countries toured the virtual trade fair halls and attended the four digital conferences that were held. There they were welcomed by 209 exhibitors from 25 countries.

Phoenix Contact has launched compact device and cable connectors for the Single Pair Ethernet standard. The standardized SPE interfaces are ideally suited for efficient data transmission in factory and process automation. What is the electronica trade fair?

electronica is the world’s leading trade fair for components, systems, and applications in electronics. It is held in Munich every other year. The full range of technologies, products, and solutions from the electronics industry are presented at the trade fair. electronica showcases current developments in the electronics industry and rounds this off with an insight into trends.

The 2020 trade fair that took place from November 9 to 12 was run as an entirely virtual event in order to still provide the electronics industry with a global platform despite travel restrictions. The various offerings included a virtual exhibition as well as a digital conference and related events. Individual presentations and discussion panels on hot topics such as Automotive, Embedded, IIoT, 5G, Medical Electronics, and Smart Energy are available online.
