In contrast to the PTFIX blocks, the PTVFIX blocks have a lateral Push-in connection. The lateral conductor feed enables particularly clear and flat wiring without bending radii. Apart from that, there are no technical differences between the PTVFIX blocks and the proven PTFIX distribution blocks. The PTVFIX blocks are initially available with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² with 6, 12, or 18 terminal points. The PTVFIX blocks are available in five standard colors. With integration into the online configurator, you can order additional color versions. This ensures a color-coded and clear assignment of conductors.

PTFIX distribution blocks with Ex approval

In addition to the PTFIX distribution blocks with standard approvals, the portfolio also includes PTFIX versions with Ex approval (explosion protection). Ex approval is an essential part of safety technology. The Ex standard enables products to be used in areas where combustible materials, gases, and sources of ignition can encounter each other.

Disconnect blocks and fuse blocks from the PTFIX-function distribution block family

The PTFIX-function family of function distribution blocks is composed of various disconnect and fuse blocks. The distribution blocks are available with 7 terminal points and a nominal cross-section of 2.5 mm². As is the case with the PTFIX blocks, the blocks have a frontal Push-in connection. However, they differ in their structure and function. The line contact of the function distribution blocks is connected to the distribution connections via the individual disconnect zones or fuse-links. The function inserts therefore provide the links between the individual distribution connections and the line contact. This design enables you to quickly and easily separate or fuse individual signal lines.

PTVFIX device terminal blocks snapped open

The PTVFIX device terminal blocks are the first FIX blocks to carry more than one potential. Unlike the other distribution blocks, the device terminal blocks do not have integrated bridging. This means that the blocks carry one potential per two terminal points. This feature makes the blocks particularly suitable in areas such as building installation. Quickly and easily connect the phase, the neutral conductor, and the protective conductor in just one compact and space-saving block.

Disconnect base block with standardized separation zone

The TG version is a disconnect base block with a standardized disconnect zone. The disconnect zone enables the implementation of various function connectors.
Use isolating plugs, for example, for the easy separation of signals. Fusing with suitable fuse plugs or implementing components is also no problem with the TG blocks. The various function plugs are listed in the accessories for the item.

MT function distribution block with open disconnect knife

The MT version is a disconnect block with integrated knife disconnection. Instead of the universal disconnect zones, this block has permanently integrated disconnect knives that can be swiveled. The fixed integration offers both advantages and disadvantages. The fixed knives limit the functions of the MT block in comparison with the TG block, because the MT version is only suitable for the disconnect function. On the other hand, the disconnect knives are particularly space-saving and cannot be lost. Another advantage is that the disconnect knives that can be swiveled can only be opened with a screwdriver. So, to open the disconnect point, a conscious action is needed. This block is recommended if you only need a block for the conscious separation of signals.

Fuse blocks with rotary locks

The PTFIX 10/6X4-SI... fuse blocks have rotary locks rather than disconnect elements. The rotary locks enable simple fusing of the individual distribution connections. Along with the standard versions, blocks with signal lights are also available for signaling defective fuses.

Distribution blocks bridged via a standard plug-in bridge

The distribution blocks of the FIX families feature integrated bridging. Via this bridge, all the distributor connections are connected to each other and to the line contact. This reduces the wiring effort in the potential distribution. The blocks are ready to use straight after unpacking. If you need more than one distribution block with 18 connection points, the push-in distribution blocks and collection blocks can be extended easily with the 2-position standard plug-in bridges from the CLIPLINE complete system. Snap the blocks together with the tongue and groove connection. As soon as the blocks are connected, they can be extended easily with a plug-in bridge across the outer connections. The wire bridges (FBSW...) from Phoenix Contact are suitable for more involved bridging tasks. The wire bridges can also be installed in the wiring space of the distribution blocks. The bridges are characterized by a flexible and insulated wire between the contacts. This makes the bridge particularly flexible. You can use the wire bridges where the standardized bridges cause difficulties.

PTFIX distribution blocks with 2.3 mm test plug

The push-in distribution blocks feature special test points, enabling the tests to be performed as quickly and easily as possible. The test points make it very easy to test the blocks with mated conductors. In addition, the test points provide a high level of touch safety during the testing process. The distribution and collection blocks are equipped with one test point per block. The function distribution blocks, on the other hand, have one test point per connection. The reason for this is that the various distributor connections can be separated and tested separately with the aid of the disconnect knives. The individual connections of the fuse block can also be measured separately. To simplify the testing of the distribution blocks, the standardized test system has various colored test plugs with a diameter of 2.3 mm. The contact of the connector is split into four slightly bent contact pins. This design creates an elastic deformation when the test plugs are inserted. This causes the test plug to clamp into the test point and establish a secure contact with the current bar. In addition, the blocks can be tested directly with standardized 2.3 mm test probes.

PTFIX and PTVFIX-function with marking material

For easy marking of the FIX distribution blocks, the blocks can be marked with the self-adhesive marking material (TML or SK). To enable straight and clean marking, the blocks have a flat marking groove specially designed for adhesive markings.

PTFIX distribution block mounting versions

The distribution blocks in the FIX family can be integrated into your solution in several ways using various mounting adapters and block versions. Use the adapters and fix the blocks either on the DIN rail or directly on the mounting plate. via flange. Adhesive versions are also available for quick and easy installation.

The horizontal DIN rail adapters are available for NS 15 and NS 35 DIN rails. To mount, attach the distribution block to the corresponding adapter feet. The block can then be snapped onto the DIN rail very easily. We recommend using two snap-on feet for each stand-alone block. This number can be reduced for solutions that combine several distribution blocks. The corresponding mounting adapter is listed in the accessories for the respective block.

PTFIX block snapped onto a DIN rail with a vertical DIN rail adapter

A separate adapter is also available to you for DIN rail mounting perpendicular to the DIN rail. The vertical DIN rail adapters can be mounted on NS 35 and NS 15 DIN rails. To mount, simply attach the distribution blocks to the adapter. The adapter is then snapped onto the DIN rail. To prevent the blocks from slipping down, when mounting make sure that the side with the base latch is facing downward. The corresponding mounting adapter is listed in the accessories for the respective block.

PTFIX for direct mounting via snap-on flanges

In addition to DIN rail mounting, the blocks can also be mounted directly by means of snap-on flanges. To do this, you need to plug the flanges onto the ends of the distribution blocks. For longer rows of distribution blocks, flanges should also be integrated between the distribution blocks. As soon as the flanges are engaged, the blocks can be screwed easily onto the mounting plate. The corresponding flange is listed in the accessories for the respective block.

Distribution blocks with securing pin adapter

Another direct mounting can be implemented using the adapters with securing pins. To do this, snap the base blocks onto the matching adapter feet. For fastening to the mounting panel, the securing pins simply need to be inserted through the pre-drilled holes in the mounting panel. Thanks to the movable adapters, the distance can still be precisely adjusted even later on.

Adhesive mounting of the PTFIX distribution blocks

The distribution block versions for adhesive mounting feature an adhesive pad on the bottom of the block. To mount these blocks, simply remove the protective foil covering the adhesive pad. You can now attach the block to various surfaces. When using this method, make sure that the blocks are always adhered to clean surfaces. It is not necessary to use a primer or roughen the surface beforehand. You will find detailed assembly notes and information regarding the adhesive in the download area for the relevant products in the online shop.

PTFIX distribution blocks on the double DIN rail adapter

The PTFIX blocks with the smallest cross-section (1.5 mm²) have an additional DIN rail adapter for horizontal DIN rail mounting. The adapter can be snapped onto the NS 35 and thus enables the space-saving assembly of several distribution blocks. For mounting, slide the distribution blocks onto the corresponding adapter feet. Then, the blocks can be snapped easily onto the DIN rail. We recommend using two snap-on feet for each stand-alone block. The corresponding mounting adapter is listed in the accessories for the 1.5 mm² versions.
