Ethernet down to the field level

Ethernet-APL enables safe and efficient data transmission in the process industry. With the Ethernet-APL field switches, sensors are integrated into the Ethernet network via a two-wire Ethernet connection. Data from the field level is available immediately.

Main features

  • Data transmission via just one wire pair
  • Use in explosion-protected areas is possible (zones 0, 1, and 2)
  • Bridging of large distances: Trunk lengths of up to 1,000 m, spurs up to 200 m
  • Switches can also communicate with PROFIBUS PA devices
  • High number of ports with a total of 12 or 24 APL ports
