Inside the control cabinet, DIN rail, or raised rail, is the backbone of industrial connection assemblies. Components are held securely with DIN rail that is cut to length and perforated. DIN rail can be positioned vertically or angled diagonally in the cabinet to meet customer requirements by using supports, mounting brackets or bracket adaptors. End brackets securely hold components on the rails, and can withstand most jolts and vibrations.

Covers and shield clamps ensure user and system safety. PEN conductor busbars and pick-off terminal blocks are also available.

Phoenix Contact also offers a uniform range of accessories for all connection technologies. Bridging, marking and testing accessories are standardized and greatly reduce logistics costs. All of our modular terminal blocks can be used together, which creates a high degree of flexibility while simplifying project planning and control cabinet configuration.

Flexible plug-in bridge system
One plug-in bridge works for all connection systems. Phoenix Contact terminal blocks have two bridge shafts for fast and effective power distribution. The bridge shafts are located on the top of the terminal blocks, allowing connection systems to be combined by adding bridges. All bridging tasks can be implemented quickly using the 2- to 50-position plug-in bridges. For example, reducing bridges can be used to connect a 10 mm² UT 10 screw terminal block to a 2.5 mm² ST 2.5 spring-cage terminal block.

Multifunctional disconnect zone
All disconnect terminal blocks from Phoenix Contact feature a standardized disconnect zone. Various function plugs are available for use with disconnect terminal blocks. Isolating connectors are used for simple disconnection. Fuse connectors are designed for the use of glass fuse inserts. Components can be mounted, using patented component connections, without reversed polarity and without the need for soldering.

Pluggable connection solutions
The COMBI plug-in system features connectors in all four connection technologies and can be combined with all base terminal blocks in the standardized plug-in zone. A signal and power wiring system is created with nominal data of up to 32A and 800V (IEC). The contact system withstands high vibration, and is touch-proof in both the terminal block and plug. Optional snap-on accessories are available, including snap-lock fittings, strain relief and shield connection.

Large-area marking
Terminal block termination points have large marking areas, making identification easier for wiring, startups, and testing and maintenance. Snap-on, large-area marker carriers are available as an option for group and terminal strip marking.

Standardized test system
A wide range of test accessories is available. All test plugs connect to the bridge shaft and a 2.3 mm test plug is available for individual measuring conductors. More complex testing tasks can be done using modular test plugs. Customized test adapters can be assembled using appropriate spacers and are ideal for test bays.
