Power Distribution Bus System

Most applications require a power bus to distribute power within a control system. The line supplying the power source is typically distributed to multiple loads. A supply line usually requires the wire termination point to accept 8 AWG wires or larger. For the load side, a wire termination point needs to accept 10 AWG wires or smaller. Other considerations would be whether the power bus is a single, double or multiple pole configuration.

PHOENIX CONTACT can offer any wire termination combination of line to load ratio and pole configuration for a power distribution bus system. We have incorporated into our terminal blocks internal bridging system, a step down washer which makes the electrical connection between line and load. The step down washer is then connected to a fixed bridge bar which commons all the load wire terminations together. PHOENIX CONTACT can offer power bus solutions ranging from 1/0 AWG, 61 A, 1000V (line) to 26 AWG, 30A, 600V (load).

These power distribution bus systems can be pre-assembled as a value added rail assembly complete with custom marking for fast installation.
