RT- Series Ring Lug Terminal Blocks
The most recent addition to the CLIPLINE Complete product line is the RT-Series of ring lug terminal blocks. The RT-Series features additional marking channels and is compatible with all CLIPLINE Complete accessories. These terminal blocks have additional marking areas on each hinged cover in addition to the top marking channel. The RTO version is a lower priced option without a hinged cover and captive nut.
Both the RT and RTO versions offer a dual bridging channel for additional connection alternatives. The RT(O) 3 and RT(O) 5 blocks have matching profiles. A snap-on ground terminal block version of the RT(O) 3 and 5 that is compatible with feed-through style blocks is also available. Test points are built into the captive nut in the hinged cover of the RT blocks for easy access and minimal impact to the operating envelope.
The RT-Series accommodates standard ring lugs for #4 (3mm), #10 (5mm), and 5/16" (8mm) stud sizes. Wire sizes are based on ring lug size and range from 22 to 2 AWG across the series.
Features & Benefits
- Bridging Channels:
With the addition of the bridging channels, the CLIPLINE complete FBS bridging system can now be used to distribute voltage and signals between adjacent terminal blocks on a rail without having to install external jumper wiring. RT(O) 5s can be bridged using the FBS X-8 series, and for the RT(O) 3/PEs the FBS 2.5 series. There is also step-down version of the of the FBS bridge, RB ST 10-2.5/4, to transition from the RT(O) 8/PE to the RT(O) 3/PE. - Improved Marking Capability:
The customer has the option for top marking for increased visibility and identification. Marking of the RT-Series is done using the ZB series of terminal block markers. - Lower Cost Version Available:
The RTO version offers a lower cost option to the full featured RT versions. The RTO offers the same bridging and upper marking channel without the hinge assembly and captive nut. With the removal of the captive nut, the RTO provides a more open design for situations where visual verification of the connection is required.
