Overview
PLC Interface with integrated RCZ Filter for protection against interference currents, and interference voltages on the control side.

Application Problem: Long Conductors
Practically all application Engineers and Technicians have encountered the problem of induced voltages onto conductors causing relays to not drop out on a "0" signal, or even pick up in some extreme cases. Long and/or poorly laid conductors are often the cause. AC voltages are thus coupled from neighboring conductors, which frequently exceed 10V. Conventional coupling relays become overloaded with these undefined signals and do not demonstrate clear switching behavior.
Application Problem: Residual Currents at AC Outputs
The same effect occurs if electronic AC outputs produce leakage currents. This is often the case for many AC voltage initiators and PLC AC voltage output cards. Leakage currents of several mA can also adversely affect the operation of conventional relays, which remain suspended.
Solution: PLC-…SO46 With Integrated Filter
A 6.2mm PLC-…SO46 version with integrated with filter is now available for applications in 120V AC or 230V AC networks with high levels of interference voltage. This multi-level filter circuit considerably reduces interference in the control circuit and thus contributes to safe signal transmission.
All Other PLC Advantages
The PLC-…SO46 series also features the other advantages of the PLC range:
- Super thin 6.2mm design
- Either universal SPDT or Sensor version for input signals
- User-friendly, vibration resistant, and time saving jumper system
- Integrated input and protective wiring
- Relays or Optocouplers can be quickly replaced using a notch lever
- Either screw or spring-cage connection technology
