Delayed Contact Safety Relays

The Phoenix Contact safety relay (PSR) product family includes a selection of safety relays with delayed release safety contacts. These products can be used to meet Stop Category 0 or 1 in accordance to EN60204-1 and NFPA 79. These time delayed safety relays include both instantaneous and delayed off normally open safety outputs. There is also one normally closed status output for each of these time delayed safety relays. The delay is available with an adjustable or a factory preset time period.

The Phoenix Contact Time Delayed Safety Relay Features:

• One or two inputs for emergency stop, safety door/gates,light curtains (normally closed or solid state safety devices)
• Monitored manual or automatic reset (start)
• Spring or screw clamp terminations
• Pluggable connectors
• Cross circuit detection
• Safe or basic isolation
• Face cover to protect delay settings (for adjustable delay part numbers)
• No fuse required for power supply connection (electronic short circuit protection)

Adjustable Delay Safety Relays

The adjustable delay, 24Vdc safety relays uses DIP switches to select the time range and a rotary switch to select the exact delay time. Once the delay time selection has been made an included adhesive face cover can be used to protect the settings. Adjustable delay setting will be either 0.1 to 30 or 0.2 to 300 seconds.

24Vdc, "Fixed" Delay Safety Relays

The "fixed" delay time safety relays are available with non-adjustable delay times that range from 0.5 seconds to 30 seconds. With in this range there are 13 separate "fixed" delay times that can be selected. These 13 types all have the same general specification and can be ordered in spring cage or screw clamp. All are 45mm wide.
