Phoenix Contact hosts educational safety seminars for the process industry
MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Phoenix Contact will host two free safety seminars for the process industry at its Customer Technology Center in Houston. The seminars will be held on Tuesday, July 20, and Wednesday, July 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Cees Riestra, a retiree from Royal Dutch Shell Holland, will share his Safety Integrity Level (SIL) application expertise. Rienstra will discuss IEC 61508/61511 guidelines, function and fundamentals of SIL, the impact of redundancy on overall system performance with respect to safety and availability, and how to calculate and select appropriate SILs.
Seminar attendees will receive 0.6 continuing education units (CEUs) for their participation through the International Association for Continuing Education (IACET).To learn more or register for either session, visit:
