Plug Connector System Offers Choice of Connection Technologies
MIDDLETOWN, Pa. -- Phoenix Contact introduces COMBI plug connectors, a modular “plug-and-play” system available in three connection technologies: screw, spring and IDC. COMBI is the latest addition to the Clipline Complete System, and like all Clipline Complete accessories, the COMBI connectors plug into any DIN-mounted pluggable terminal blocks, regardless of the connection technology.
The COMBI provides maximum flexibility by using the same plug-in zone in all basic terminal blocks, whatever the connection technology. The standard plugs (UP, SP, QP) feature the wire exit on top, while plugs with screw and spring-cage technology (UPBV, SPV) feature additional plugs with side wire exit.
Standardized bridging, marking and testing accessories are available. The user can choose between two options for wire entry – the space-saving top entry, or the low-profile side entry. The COMBI allows for quick change or replacement in plug-and-play applications. Plugs are available in pre-assembled position sizes or individually for self-assembly, enabling the user to create unique solutions based on application requirements.
