In addition to the standard single-row and four-row headers for PCB assembly, there are plugs for free-hanging connections and as a panel feed-through. CIOC allows for bus connections, data and power can be transmitted safely to the PLC or to the field via bus cables.
The 4 position plug and headers are designed with a 2mm miniature pitch allowing high contact density. The transparent color coding plug offers visual confirmation that the connection has been made. CIOC utilizes the time-saving insulation displacement connection for conductors ranging from .14 to 0.5 mm².
The classic area of application for the CIOC miniature plug connectors is in networking controllers with traditional sensor/actuator I/O’s. The plug connectors make a fast and reliable connection of sensors, switches, and buttons in IP20 field distribution.
