Screw connections use a rising cage design to secure the conductor, while alleviating stress on the solder joint.  The screw connection is recommended for applications with standard I/O and low current industrial devices.

Spring connections offer an installation time savings over the screw connections.  Some of the spring connections allow a tool-less connection with solid or ferruled wires.  The spring connection is strongly recommended when working in vibration sensitive areas since it eliminates concern about the installer under or over torquing.

Insulation Displacement Connection terminal blocks represent minimal installation cost.  When comparing IDC to screw connection, a 60% time savings can be achieved.  Simply insert the insulated conductor into the wire entry and actuate, eliminating wire prepping.
