Stainless steel M12 connectors designed to meet strict standards for the food and beverage industry
Phoenix Contact’s line of stainless steel junction boxes, cordsets, and M12 connectors comply with FDA approvals for the food and beverage industry. Hygienic regulations during the manufacturing/packaging process of foodstuffs require connectors of high quality material that withstand harsh environments. Our stainless steel M12 junction boxes and M12 connectors are made with high-grade 1.4404 stainless steel. The smooth steel surfaces prevent bacterial growth and corrosion during frequent machine cleanings. The cordsets use a special PVC material to comply with FDA guidelines for public health.
The full product offering includes M12 molded cordsets, M12 cable connectors for field assembly, panel feed-through M12 connectors, and junction boxes for passive signal distribution. All products meet IP65/68 and IP69K protection categories and are resistant to the following food industry cleansing agents:
- P3-topactive DES: acidic disinfectant based on hydrogen peroxide/peracetic acid
- P3-topax 19: alkaline foam
- P3-topax 56: acidic foam
- P3-topax 66: alkaline foam cleaning agent with active chlorine
- P3-topax 91: neutral disinfectant based on quaternary ammonium compounds (QAV)
