Cable entry systems

The KEL system can be used to install pre-assembled lines in control cabinets and housings in a space-saving way with a high degree of protection (IP54). Combined with the COMBI plug-in system, it offers a quick and cost-effective alternative to the connection with heavy-duty connectors.

The slit KEL sleeves allow quick assembly without having to remove the plugs from the cable. The manufacturer's warranty for preassembled cables thus remains intact.

The KEL system has a modular design and allows easy replacement of cables. The fitted sealing frame can be quickly snapped open and shut with the KEL-SNAP frame.

Thanks to a standard cutout for heavy-duty connectors, up to 40 cables can be installed in the control cabinet with a KEL system and thus a large number of connectors can be replaced.

KEL sealing and snap-on frames

KEL sealing frames are used to accommodate cable sleeves that are available in various designs. The two different frame sizes are modeled as per the standard cutouts similar to those provided for 16 or 24-pos. connectors.  A seal ensures the IP54 degree of protection.

The KEL-SNAP snap-on frames are available for assembling the KEL sealing frames without tools.

KEL sleeves

The cable sleeves are used for accommodating pre-assembled cables having diameters from 3 mm to 34 mm. They can be used in the KEL sealing frames and also ensure strain relief as per DIN EN 50262 in the mounted condition.

The integrated sealing lips ensure the IP54 degree of protection for the completely assembled system.

An adapter sleeve facilitates accommodation of small KEL sleeves and can be inserted in the large feed-through positions of the sealing frames. Dummy sleeves do not have any openings and can be used to close unnecessary feed-throughs.

KEL accessories

The KEL plugs are designed for closing unused cable sleeves. If required, the plugs can always be replaced with cables of a suitable diameter.

The shielding can be directly diverted to the housing without a cable interruption when using EMC cable intercepting strips. Subsequent mounting is possible.
