SISTEMA software wizard

The SISTEMA software wizard from the German BGIA Institute for Occupational Safety and Health offers assistance in evaluating the safety of control systems in the framework of DIN EN ISO 13849-1. The Windows tool simulates the structure of the safety-related control parts (SRP/CS, safety-related parts of a control system) on the basis of the so-called planned architectures and calculates reliability values on various levels of detail including the attained performance level (PL).

Risk parameters for determining the required performance level (PLr), the category, the measures against errors of a common cause (CCF) with multi-channel systems, the medium component quality (MTTFd) and the medium test quality (DCavg) of components or blocks can all be be acquired step by step. The effect of every parameter change on the entire system is displayed directly and can be printed out as a report.
