Fieldline Modular Bluetooth

Fieldline Modular Bluetooth - for wireless fieldbus expansion

The Fieldline installation system from Phoenix Contact can have up to three Fieldline Modular Wireless IO modules distributed in the field added to it via a Bluetooth-based local bus. Installation is done directly in the machine or system; the wiring of the "last meter" to the sensors and actuators is done in the conventional star-shaped manner, for example via our pre-assembled M12 plug connector.

Properties:

  • Communication is established automatically
  • Simple operation
  • High data security due to the 128-bit encoding, for example
  • Automatic adaptation of the transmission capacity to suit the range
  • High system density without noticeable loss of performance
  • Any interruption in communication is detected, signaled, and the outputs are set to a defined state
  • Simple and seamless integration in existing automation solutions
  • Can be operated parallel to WLAN 802.11 networks without interference

The following properties are made available:
  • Fast data transmission in typ. 10 ms per module
  • Short range of 20 to 50 m in industrial halls and more than 100 m outdoors

The wireless system is particularly suitable for use in moving, temporarily installed or inaccessible machine units in all industrial sectors, when time-critical process signals are to be transmitted.
