E-Learning

In our interactive learning modules, we offer you the opportunity to become fully acquainted with various topics in the field of power and signal quality.

The offer ranges from the basics of surge protection right up to modules dealing with the operating modes of devices and components. You can then test the knowledge you have acquired by taking a short test.

Surge protection

Phoenix Contact has been specializing in the area of surge protection for 30 years now. Intensive fundamental research and the continuous further development of our company have helped shaped today's state-of-the-art technology. With our extensive knowledge, we are able to offer solutions with technologically advanced, high-quality products for all applications.

We are making this knowledge available to you through the enjoyable and entertaining self-studying of individual learning modules.

You can test the knowledge you have acquired by taking these short tests:

Uninterruptible power supply units

The UPS-CP uninterruptible power supplies with VFI-SS-111 classification offer optimum safety against line malfunctions. In the learning module, you will find comprehensive information on the classification of UPS devices, the different types of mains malfunctions, the various performance classes and how the devices can be connected to one another.

Monitoring

Detect errors before they become a problem - this is the underlying principle behind the concept of monitoring. This is why we also offer various modules here for the relevant measuring and monitoring devices.

The module entitled "Monitoring with residual current monitoring" shows how residual currents may occur, explains the operating principle of RCM devices, and provides a selection guide for choosing the right device types.

The "Monitoring with the arrester test system" learning module deals with the CHECKMASTER. You will learn how an arrester test is carried out, which protective devices can be tested with which test sockets, and how data transmission works.

In the "LM-S lightning monitoring system" module, you will learn about the areas of application of lightning current monitoring and discover the resulting advantages. You will find out more about the method of operation and the Faraday effect, and see how you can integrate the LM-S into your network.

EMC solutions

Interference filters limit undesired voltage peaks and thereby ensure uninterrupted safety in the control cabinet and in lab and office environments. Data errors generated as a result of high-frequency interference voltages are a thing of the past with the use of filters.

In this module, you will become acquainted with the operating principle and the different types of interference filters. You will also see which components are typically used and how attenuation characteristic curves are read.
