Extra flat power supply unit with 12 or 24 V DC

The compact housing of the STEP POWER power supply units  is particularly suitable for use in installation distributors and flat industrial housings.

1. Flexible assembly

The power supply units are either snapped onto the 35 mm DIN rail or screwed directly onto flat surfaces.

2. Energy-saving

Low idling losses and its high degree of efficiency ensure high energy efficiency. This is made possible by a specially developed ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Curcuit). During idling, the losses are low at around 0.5 W.

Efficiency is approx. 89%. The power supply units convert less electric energy into undesired heat energy. Therefore, the new technology does not only save energy but also extends the service life of components.

3. Wide range of products

With 24 V DC output voltage, the power supply units are available with output currents of

• 0.75 A,
• 1.75 A,
• 2.5 A and
• 4.2 A are available.

Further devices with 5, 12, 15 und 48 V DC are also available.

4. Compensation of voltage drops

The nominal output voltages can be set progressively for almost all variants via a front-side potentiometer. This allows compensating voltage drops in long cables, for instance.

The setting range of the 24 V power supply units ranges from 22.5 to 29.5 V and that of the 12 V devices from 10 V to 16.5 V.

5. High operational reliability

The power supply units operate according to the UI characteristic curve. This means that they do not switch off in the event of a short circuit or overload, but continue supplying the maximum short-circuit current.

Clear benefits: Capacitive loads as well as loads with DC/DC converters in the input circuit are supplied reliably.
