The 12.5 mm wide Ex-i signal isolators meet high safety requirements
With a housing design width of only 12.5 mm, the new MACX Analog-Ex interfaces provide one of the most compact Ex-i signal isolator series. Thanks to the compact type, it is possible to save up to 45% space in the control cabinet.
MACX Analog Ex offers all important functions such as
- HART-compatible measuring transducer supply and output isolating amplifiers,
- NAMUR isolation amplifiers,
- solenoid drivers and
- FDT/DTM programmable temperature transducers.
All 1 or 2 channel devices are characterized by a 3-way electrical isolation. An innovative switching concept ensures accurate transmission performance with a minimum of power dissipation.
Pluggable and keyed screw or spring-cage connection
Pluggable and keyed connection terminal blocks, either with the screw or the spring-cage connection method enable maximum connection comfort. The innovative T-Connector concept facilitates quick and stranded auxiliary power supply and multiple error messages.
The devices are approved as per the current ATEX and IECEx standards for installation in Ex zone 2 and for Ex-i circuits up to Ex zone 0 (gas) and 20 (dust). SIL approvals as per IEC 61508 enable their use in safety related applications.
