Surge protection for Profibus applications
DATATRAB D-UFB-PB is fine surge protection for PROFIBUS-DP applications with a transmission speed of up to 12 mbps. The reliable protective circuit is accommodated in a 9-pos. D-SUB plug, with which the signal line is also connected to the interface. It is not necessary to install an extra protective device. This saves space and installation time. Due to the low height of just 35 mm, the D-UFB-PB is ideal for use in Siemens PLCs of the latest generation.
The Profibus cable is connected using the screw terminal blocks in the protective plug. The equipotential bonding between the ground of the protective circuit and the grounded DIN rail or mounting plate is already prepared in the form of a conductor leading out. If desired, a termination resistor can be connected simply using a slide-type switch on the upper side of the housing.
