Miniature electronic housings in the 6 mm class
New possibilities with DIN rail bus connectors
The new ME MAX 6,2 electronics housings make it possible to realize individual and space-saving electronics components with a width of 6.2 mm.
Eight connections with a 2.5 mm² cross section are available either in screw or spring-cage versions. The PCB layout is identical for both connection types. The connection system is firmly integrated in the housing, making it ready to take the components.
Device manufacture is thus reduced to three steps:
- Processing the PCB in SMT
- Connecting the electronics and the first housing half shell using wave soldering
- Snapping on the second housing shell – Ready.
The ME MAX 6,2 housing supports economic large-scale serial production of state-of-the-art electronics.

Bus-capable applications are now made possible by the new 5-pos. double DIN rail bus connector, ME 6,2 TBUS-2. The required number of connectors are simply inserted in the standard NS 35 mounting rail and snapped together.

The bus connection is "self-constructing" in a pitch of 12.5 mm. The gold-plated contacts guarantee a safe connection for communication and supply signals. Up to two of the 6.2 mm wide housings are swung in per bus connector. Individual devices can naturally be swung in or out of the whole without interrupting the signal chain. The familiar MINI-COMBICON standard plugs are used for feeding in the power.
