The manufacturing process of the electronic housings and the plastics are UL-certified
Phoenix Contact was accredited as "UL Recognized Molder under File E240868" by the Underwriters Laboratories. The actual plastic injection molding system and the plastic used was tested here. This approval is necessary if the electronic housings are used for a device that is to obtain the UL approval.
The UL tester requires proof to approve the device and during the inspection of electronic production. Thus, the unit pack receives the UL logo with the coded Molder marking (manufacturing) and the code of the plastic used. These specifications and this label are completely sufficient for the tester. More texts are not required.
