These substances can cause corrosion on the connector housings.As an alternative to the familiar stainless steel variants, which are often used under such ambient conditions, there are now flush-type connectors available with plastic housings.
The plugs and sockets are made of polyamide and are available in 5- and 8-position versions.The plastic variants are available with punched on individual wires, solder cups or solder pins for PCB mounting.
