Fieldline Master module for IO Link supports seamless communication down to the lowest field level
Via the new standard IO-Link, seamless communication from the control system to the lowest field level is possible. As part of a point-to-point connection between the IO-Link port and the sensor or actuator, service data can be exchanged at the same time as process data.
Data is transmitted by means of 24 V pulse modulation. Gateway and communication DTMs ensure integrated device parameterization up to the sensor/actuator level.

The use of IO-Link offers the following advantages for the user:
- Simplified wiring, particularly in the case of analog measuring sensors, due to the direct digital transmission of the measured signal
- Simplified parameter maintenance due to integrated service data transmission
- Extensive diagnostics from the control level to the sensor/actuator level due to the transmission of diagnostic data that is integrated in the IO-Link protocol.
In order to exploit these advantages, Phoenix Contact has in the FLM IOL 4 DI 4 M 12 a Fieldline Modular device that fits seamlessly into the Fieldline I/O product range with IP65/67 protection.

Via the Fieldline-Modular bus coupler, the IO-Link device is integrated in the higher-level communication system such as Interbus, Profibus or Profinet. The functions of the Fieldline system include simple mounting and the Speedcon fast connection system, allowing economical and rapid installation in the field.
Diagnostic and status indicators for local operation and supply voltage contribute to high availability of the network.
