Managed MCS switches are now even easier to configure

The "FL Switch MCS" managed switches are a good choice for the economical set-up of managed Ethernet or Profinet networks.

The compact devices, which are available with 16 twisted pair ports as well as with 14 twisted pair ports and two glass fiber ports, used as I/O devices, support all protocols and functions recommended for Profinet applications, such as priority queues, port security, as well as LLDP and PDev for topology recognition.

Powerful full wire speed switching fabric provides high data throughput and an excellent time response, while SNMP makes extensive network diagnostics possible.

MCS switches support all management functions for Profinet networks.

Fast commissioning, thanks to the replaceable configuration memory FL MEM PLUG.
For FL switches MCS formerly configured via the network management software Factory Manager or web-based management, the device settings can now be made via a replaceable configuration memory as well.

Since the FL MEM PLUG also just has to be plugged into the M12 socket of the switch, this makes the commissioning of the infrastructure components a lot easier by means of real plug & play.

Support of the Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) also contributes to the high application availability, which allows the set-up of redundant, non-proprietary structures. Switch-over times of a few 100 ms are ensured with the fast ring detection method.

In the FL MEM PLUG/MRM version, the configuration memory can be used as a manager for the medium redundancy protocol (MRP) required in Profinet networks, and this way, reduce the switch-over time in ring structures to a maximum of 200 ms.
