Smart managed gigabit switches, now also with glass fiber ports

The SMCS smart managed FL switches are the first DIN rail switches designed for industrial use which support the gigabit Ethernet on all ports, thereby also providing powerful gigabit glass fiber interfaces.

The infrastructure components are optimal for use in PROFINET RT networks due to their excellent realtime properties. At the same time, realtime IT services, such as video or voice-over IP, can be implemented in automation networks with high data throughput.

  • Flexible use of various glass fiber plug-in modules (SX, LX, Longhaul)

  • Use of multimode fibers in the 1000 BASE-SX module and realization of distances up to 550 m at a wavelength of
    850 nm

  • Use of single-mode fibers in the 1000 BASE-LX module and realization of distances up to 30 km at a wavelength of
    1300 nm

  • Longhaul modules for realizing distances of more than 70 km at a wavelength of 1550 nm

The SFP modules are plug-in input/output modules for FO used in gigabit Ethernet networks, whereby "SFP" stands for "small form-factor pluggable". Customer wishes can be easily fulfilled with regard to individual length requirements.
