Fieldline Wireless IO supports frequency planning

The number of wireless applications in the production halls has increased rapidly in the last few years. More and more users have been convinced of the advantages of wireless fieldbus extension and use these consistently.

The Fieldline Modular Wireless IO modules are optimally suited for installation close to machines. They can be installed directly in the machine or system.

The modules communicate via Bluetooth, a transmission medium which transmits in the 2.4 GHz band, like WLAN 802.11.

In addition to the automatic coexistence mechanism AFH, the wireless IO modules now also offer the option of fixed frequency planning. With this, the frequency ranges of up to three WLAN channels can be excluded from own use by configuration.

This makes frequency planning by the operator possible where fixed frequency ranges can be assigned to the various applications, thus ensuring interference-free parallel operation.

With Fieldline Modular Wireless IO, the narrow 2.4 GHz frequency band can be efficiently used by transmitting in the free frequency ranges between the WLAN channels.
