Analog all-round talents - The new Inline Block I/O modules
You would like to collect I/O volumes at little expense and make them available to a control system? Our new Inline Block IO analog modules will convince you! These compact modules are used particularly for limited I/O volumes - distributed and directly on site at the application, in small terminal boxes or control cabinets.

The four inputs either offer the difference measured between analog current / voltage signals or the option of connecting resistance thermometers (RTDs). Furthermore, the current or voltage actuators can be connected at the two outputs.

Input features:
- Four differential analog signal inputs or four universal RTD inputs
- Connection of sensors in 2 , 3 , and 4-wire technology
- Overload-protected current inputs
- Three current measuring ranges: 0 mA to 20 mA, ±20 mA, 4 mA to 20 mA
- Four voltage measuring ranges: 0 V to 10 V, ±10 V, 0 V to 5 V, ± 5 V
- Various RTD measuring ranges: e.g. linear R: 0 O to 9500 O, Pt 100, Pt 1000, Ni 1000
- Integrated short-circuit-protected sensor supply
- Measured values can be represented in three formats (Inline, S7, standardized display)
Output features:
- Two universal analog signal outputs to connect either voltage or current signals
- Adjustable output behavior
- Connection of actuators in 2-wire technology
- Three current ranges: 0 mA to 20 mA, ±20 mA, 4 mA to 20 mA
- Four voltage ranges: 0 V to 10 V, ±10 V, 0 V to 5 V, ± 5 V

Easy parameterization
The INTERBUS variant can either be parameterized with process data words or via PCP. Function blocks for S7 and PC WORX are available for this purpose. The PROFIBUS variant is parameterized in the usual easy manner with the Step 7 hardware configurator. The DTMs that support FDT technology are supplied at a later date.
Comprehensive diagnostics:
Comprehensive diagnostics provides support during operation and information on bus-specific faults or error bits in the process data; in addition, diagnostics LEDs are provided directly on the module. Open circuit, voltage failure or faulty configurations are indicated for example.

1. Differential current and voltage inputs
These are required wherever EMC loads or potential differences occur, such as
- in the vicinity of frequency converters or welding robots
- in distributed networks in water, waste water or power supply systems

2. High precision
- Test stands in the automobile industry and
- Climate control in building automation

3. Fast process data mode
- In mechanical engineering applications
- In logistics and
- In wind power plants

Summary
The new Inline Block IO modules are all-round talents in the field of analog applications while at the same time offering a good price-performance ratio.
