Components for 1,000 V DC applications in photovoltaic systems

In photovoltaic systems, the individual strings are merged and secured in the generator connection box and are forwarded to the inverter.

The center of the generator connection box normally contains surge protection modules and/or the DC disconnector. The plus and minus potential are collected to the left and right. The plus potential of the individual strings is often secured using fuses.

Non-load voltages of up to 1,000 V DC can be present depending on the system size, and the components used must be designed for this. The following components are recommended for these increased requirements:

Modular terminal blocks with spring-cage connection

Modular terminal blocks with screw connection

Modular terminal blocks with bolt connection

Fuse terminal blocks

Surge protection modules
