Drive engineering
Drive solutions from Phoenix Contact are available for the most varied tasks in machinery and plants. These solutions range from distributed drives for handling technology through to motor control switches and servo amplifiers in the Inline system, as well as machine control with Motion Control. A very wide range of distributed drives is available for materials handling, as are motor control switches and frequency inverters with IP54 to IP67 protection in steel sheet and stainless steel housings.
New driveline engineering – Soft PLC with motion control
With the new Soft Control, a soft PLC has been launched on the market that easily solves motion control problems in addition to classic logics. Positioning processes, electronic gears or cam disc functions are now programmed and parameterized directly in the PLC software using function blocks. All of the blocks specified by PLCopen are available. The I/Os are connected via INTERBUS and the drives are integrated via SERCOS, which means that a large number of powerful drives from numerous suppliers can be used. The performance that this offers when used with the soft PLC meets even the highest requirements in terms of short cycle times and a high dynamic response. Depending on the performance of the PC, up to 80 axes can be moved directly from the control system.
