ENGINEERING - Electrical Design Engineer (Interface Wireless)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design engineer is responsible for the hardware and software design of wireless products, gathering and documenting design input, development of drawings, first article inspection of new boards and component parts, inspection and engineering testing for design verification and validation, finalization of drawings and all pertinent material for production.
  • Lead R&D Efforts with 3rd party developers and conduct new technology experiments as required for maintaining lead with innovative products in Industrial Controls Market.
  • Design engineer is responsible for generating technical specifications and ensuring that requirement specifications are met.
  • Keep up with emerging technologies applicable to Industrial Controls & Process Control Market by attending Seminars, Mentoring, Training and continuing education
  • Participate in multi disciplinary team to bring new products to market on time and within budget.
  • Calculate costing on new products and Design to cost targets when required.  
  • Interface with Product Marketing and directly with customers as required.
  • Maintain pertinent design documentation and follow corporate development procedures.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSEE Required/MSEE Degree preferred
  • RF Design Experience Preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to create Innovative products
  • Minimum 1 year Analog, Digital, Microprocessor Circuit design knowledge required.
  • HW / SW Integration Skills Required, Experience with 3rd Party SW preferred
  • Knowledge of Ultra Low Power Circuit Design required
  • Experience with 1 or more of the following software packages: C, C++, Visual Basic, PLC languages
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Standards, Electromagnetic Compatibility and Increased / Intrinsic Safety 
  • Must be eligible to receive US passport.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be able to travel by air. 
  • Must be able to ride in a car for 6 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to communicate in English (written & verbal).
  • Must be able to travel overseas for extended periods if required.
