TECHNICAL SERVICE - Product Engineer II
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle inbound calls from customers on technical issues and advise customers how to apply Phoenix Contact products
- Document calls to provide sales leads for field
- Research & accurately enter data for the competitive cross reference database
- Continuously develop knowledge on Phoenix Contact products and their applications
- Fully support company sales and marketing efforts
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A four year EE degree or a two year Associates degree in Electronics Technology is preferred
- Experience in electrical/electronics industry
- Practical experience in factory automation & Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) knowledge
- Self-motivation
- Valid driver's license & ability to travel occasionally
- Willingness and ability to adapt to changing departmental needs, including, but not limited to, schedule changes
- Previous experience in service oriented environment preferred
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to set priorities and perform tasks simultaneously
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AVE and Lotus Notes software
- Comply with company policies regarding attendance, attire and punctuality
- Must be able to input (type) required information into Avenue
- Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 4 hours at a time
- Must be able to view a computer monitor for up to 8 hours a day
- Must be able to work in a team environment to provide customers with excellent service in a timely manner.
- Must be able to work either:
Monday - Thursday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Or
Monday - Thursday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
