OPERATIONS - Logistics Equipment Lead Maintenance Technician
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary responsibility is to maintain the distribution center's logistics & conveyor equipment
- Perform routine scheduled maintenance on various pieces of equipment
- Identify & correct system failures on short notice
- Work with OEM (Viastore & other sub contractors) to implement improvements to the system
- Planning, purchasing, and storage of all necessary spare parts for the system
- Maintain statistics & reports on system's performance as needed
- Coordination with sub-contractors (suppliers) for system upgrades, failures, and / or repairs, as needed
- Training of facilities personnel backup on all logistics equipment
- Training of warehouse shift leaders on troubleshooting of routine failures
- Responsible to maintain & update the maintenance schedule in facilities software tool
- Participate in Logistics Planning meetings as needed
- Work with computer maintenance software for tracking work and add knowledge for others to use
- Perform general facilities maintenance as time permits as outlined on the "Facilities Maintenance Technician" job description
- Follow all OSHA and company safety rules in all maintenance procedures
- Follow all environmental guidelines when using / disposing of materials

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Five (5) years experience in large facility maintenance operations.
- Ability to read and use engineering drawings.
- Good decision making skills.
- Computer experience in Microsoft Office preferred.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
- Must have a valid driver's license, and be able to use own vehicle for local trips to Home Depot, etc. (with reimbursement).
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and overtime when necessary.
- Must be able to handle extreme temperatures.
- Must be able to drive for up to 2 hours.
- Must be able to speak and understand English to communicate verbally and in writing.
