Wireless I/O Modules

Transmitting process or control signals to moving, rotating or mobile devices can be quite costly when using conventional products like slip rings, slip lines, optical data links, high flex cables, and drag chains.  Phoenix Contact is proud to offer a low cost, high-speed solution to integrate wireless transmission of time-critical process and control signals into an automation network using Wireless Bluetooth communications.  Speed, reliability and ease of handling are the features of this wireless solution.

The components to provide a wireless extension to your I/O system are:

• FLM BT BS3 wireless basestation.  Placed directly on the Inline Modular (IP20) or Fieldline  Modular (IP67) Local bus, this wireless basestation is responsible for cyclic and deterministic transmission of  time-critical process signals to and from up to 3 Wireless I/O modules. Update rates between 11- 44ms can be achieved depending on the number of I/O modules. It can be integrated in all common fieldbus networks, such as Devicenet, Ethernet/IP, Interbus, Modbus/TCP, Profinet, and Profibus, using various Fieldline Modular bus terminal modules.
• FLM BT DIO 8/8 M12 wireless I/O module.  Provides 8 digital inputs and outputs signals to the FLM BT BS3 and offers an IP67 housing for direct machine mount.  I/O and power connections with this module are made through M12 connections. 
• ILB BT ADIO 2/2/16/16 wireless I/O module.  Provides sixteen digital signals and two analog signals bi-directionally to the FLM BT BS3 in an IP20 housing, which requires placement in a control cabinet for proper environmental protection.. 
• FLM BT DIO 8/8 M12 P2P-SET.  A preconfigured set consisting of a base station and one remote IP67 I/O module. The preconfigured set is optimized for applications that need less than 10ms update rates.
