SMART Managed Compact Switch

The SMART Managed Compact Switch provides Gigabit throughput capability, and is optimized for PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and Ethernet applications.  Models noted as “GT” will run at Gigabit speed on all 8 ports simultaneously.  The SMCS family of Ethernet switches is fully industrialized and is approved (ATEX certified) for use in potentially explosive areas.  All SMCS support SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) for monitoring and configuration, as well as RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol), MRP (Media Redundancy Protocol), and Fast Ring redundancy mechanisms.  IGMP Snooping & Query functionality for multicast message filtering, VLAN, security functions, Broadcast Limiting, and Port Mirroring are also included.  Fiber options are via multimode and single mode SFP modules that support distances of up to 80km.
