Modular Managed Switch

The Modular Managed Switch makes industrial Ethernet set-up easy while providing maximum options for connectivity. Simply plug in the needed modules, configure the browser-based interface, and the expandable switch is ready. With a head station and up to two side-by-side expansion bases, the MMS allows for expansion from 2 to 24 ports.

The MMS was designed specifically for the unique demands of rugged industrial use. Depending on the environment, the user can select modules for twisted pair, glass fiber, polymer or HCS cables for a flexible connection. In addition, the Power over Ethernet (PoE) module and the unique memory module, which can store and backup critical switch configuration data, make the MMS the most flexible solution for implementing industrial Ethernet.

The MMS provides full industrialization and supports SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) for monitoring and configuration, as well as RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol), MRP (Media Redundancy Protocol), and Fast Ring redundancy mechanisms. IGMP Snooping & Query functionality for multicast message filtering, VLAN support, advanced security functions, and Port Mirroring are also included.
