Standard Function Narrow
SFN five- eight- and 16-port unmanaged Ethernet switches provide low cost, fully industrially hardened, entry-level switch functions with five, eight or 16 ports (10/100 Mbps) in a narrow housing width. These include a uniquely complete range of 100 Mbps glass fiber configurations to support one or two ports with SC or ST style connectors.
SFNT products provide five, eight, and 16 port platforms, with fiber connectivity options, for applications where extreme environmental conditions exist, requiring even more durability than the standard SFN. The SFNT series of Ethernet switches are rated for -40 C to 75 C, and have exceptional shock and vibration values and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) ratings. The user selectable port link monitoring, available on five and eight port models, can be used for individual or all switch ports.
The SFN series also includes industrial unmanaged IEEE 802.3z gigabit switches for applications requiring either intense data or the anticipation of future network expansion. The eight-port gigabit SFN switches support jumbo frames, and provide a broad range of connectivity by allowing one or two fiber ports and multimode and single mode glass fiber options for distances up to 20 km. State-of-the-art gigabit technology includes twisted pair 10/100/1000 capability on all ports.
